📋 Description

• Build and own deeply technical security improvements across cloud infrastructure and associated AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, and CI/CD environments • Ship production changes directly when needed • Design, implement, and iterate on detection and response capabilities using SIEM, EDR/MDR, cloud-native detections, and CNAPP • Hunt, investigate, and respond to security alerts and suspicious activity end-to-end, from triage through recovery and learnings • Write tooling and detection logic to prevent recurrence of security incidents • Build internal security tooling and automations using IaC, scripts, and integrations • Reduce operational toil and raise the security baseline by default • Report to the Head of Security and work within the Security Operations team

🎯 Requirements

• Deeply technical security engineer with a builder/hacker mindset • Ability to take ideas from prototype to production • Comfortable making direct changes in Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps systems • 5+ years of hands-on security engineering experience • Experience ideally in a cloud-first SaaS environment • Experience working in a fast-growing startup, scale-up and/or SaaS company • Cloud security engineering in AWS and/or GCP, including IAM, networking, compute, storage, and logging • Kubernetes security, including cluster hardening, workload isolation, runtime security, and policy controls • Knowledge of container ecosystems • DevOps fundamentals, including CI/CD security, secrets management, artifact integrity, and secure-by-default platform patterns • Incident response and investigation, including repeatable playbooks and automated response • Strong programming/scripting ability in Python or similar • Comfort with infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform and automation • Serious agent coding experience, ideally at the bleeding edge • Endpoint security tooling such as CrowdStrike • Relevant Information Security certification is a bonus, such as AWS Certified Security, GIAC GWEB, OSCP, or CSSLP • Ability to work legally in the country of employment without visa sponsorship
