• Serve as primary point of contact for selected large-scale key clients in the Federal/Mission Critical Division • Lead technical project and program management for high-profile projects • Facilitate and manage workflows across mixed-discipline teams • Lead early project development and strategically navigate complex client problems • Create opportunities for repeat client work • Engage in technical business development and early project development activities • Lead technical proposal activities, including case-study and qualifications writing, fee generation, and technical-staff alignment • Maintain client relationships for key mission-critical and advanced-manufacturing programs • Direct MEP engineering staff in delivering project work • Collaborate on Strategic Planning and Implementation teams for data centers/telecommunications and federal markets • Lead Chattanooga-area business-development SPI efforts • Participate in weekly divisional leadership meetings • Mentor engineering and design staff within mission-critical teams • Conduct interviews for technical-role candidates • Build direct resources in the Chattanooga market to grow an office • Work with managers and leaders to develop plans for securing new work, setting network priorities, and identifying prospective markets and clients
• 12+ years of experience in design, consulting, or construction • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar • Required Professional Engineer (PE) license • Expertise in mixed engineering principles for building construction, especially mission critical, defense, and advanced manufacturing sectors • Ability to communicate effectively with owners, contractors, and design professional partners • Ability to leverage existing client relationships to bring new project opportunities • Excellent client management and business acumen skills • Excellent application of applicable Building (IBC, SBC, etc.) codes/standards, NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE, and Energy Codes • Experience implementing high-resiliency designs for mission critical, defense, and advanced manufacturing infrastructure projects • Proficiency with Revit and workflow capabilities • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
