📋 Description

• Grow assigned salon customers' overall sales through consultative business consultation and approved beauty-product sales • Identify key accounts, establish efficient territory routes, and develop existing customers and new partnerships • Demonstrate, plan, implement, monitor, and track in-salon promotions, programs, and concepts • Determine customer needs and offer products and services to meet them • Communicate vendor sales initiatives and work toward monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate sales goals • Respond to email, text, and phone communications within 24 hours • Analyze accounts to determine needed brand support, education, and promotions • Make in-person customer calls to execute sales goals • Process and collect returns according to established procedures and complete required documentation • Collaborate with customer service, accounts receivable, IT, and other business functions • Prospect for new customers through cold calling, social media, and digital outlets • Manage daily order entry and customer information and activity in Salesforce.com • Attract and retain salon clientele through social media communication, promotion, education, and product knowledge • Conduct in-person and virtual product knowledge classes • Communicate with the Manager about calls, visits, orders, sales progress, follow-up plans, and needed assistance • Share digital-platform and social-media expertise with peers • Attend meetings, functions, events, shows, conventions, and educational events; help set up and dismantle displays and booths • Support new initiatives and change management • Pursue continuous improvement, product knowledge, industry knowledge, and market knowledge • Schedule and attend business development days and develop vendor relationships • Organize work environment and workflow to efficiently service customers

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent certification • Minimum of 1 year demonstrated outside sales experience or beauty industry experience emphasizing consultative selling • Must live within the assigned territory • Working knowledge of inventory control systems and visual merchandising strongly preferred • Excellent knowledge and experience using Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media platforms to build pipelines and books of business • Excellent computer skills • Knowledge of Salesforce.com, Outlook, PDF Expert, and Oracle • Ability to build an online community and create social connections using search engines and other internet tools • Must have a vehicle for traveling throughout the territory • Ability to travel locally within the territory • Attendance at shows, conventions, and educational events, potentially including overnight travel and weekend nights • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safely • Frequent and sometimes prolonged driving • Commitment to scheduled hours and flexibility to work additional hours based on business needs • Strong time management and organization skills; ability to manage multiple projects • Ability to present a professional business image and interact positively with the public • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing • Ability to sit, drive, stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, squat, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs • Salon/Beauty Industry experience highly preferred
