📋 Description

• Own navigation initiatives end to end from design through production rollout • Follow up on quality, adoption, and customer impact after launch • Write maintainable, well-tested code and uphold high standards in design and code review • Use modern development tools, including AI-assisted workflows • Improve observability, testing, and production reliability • Design and ship features across mobile, backend services, and web • Build driver navigation, admin visibility, optimized routing, and safety-focused capabilities • Learn from fleet managers and drivers and align priorities with the product team • Define success metrics, plan milestones, and raise risks and tradeoffs • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and partners in Maps, Telematics, and adjacent teams • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience • 6+ years of experience • Proven experience shipping customer-facing software in production across multiple surfaces, including mobile, web, and/or backend services • Depth in at least one product surface and ability to contribute effectively in others • Comfortable using AI development tools with judgment in day-to-day engineering
