📋 Description

• Work under the direction of the Mechanical Project Lead • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and design project teams • Develop mechanical physical layout drawings in a 3-D model • Design mechanical systems and investigate, troubleshoot, and solve mechanical design issues • Use 3D modeling software to generate mechanical design schematics • Lead coordination of detailed design phases for integrated mechanical design models • Coordinate and guide designers and project team members to ensure complete and timely designs • Independently plan and execute design deliverables, including general arrangements, piping isometrics, piping composites, pipe support drawings, and equipment location drawings • Conduct field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities when applicable • Mentor less experienced drafters and designers

🎯 Requirements

• Associate's Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma and one or more years drafting course work or equivalent technical experience • 15+ years of detailed physical design experience developing mechanical general arrangements, piping systems, and supports • Proficiency with design software tools for executing 3D plant layout models • Experience reviewing mechanical equipment, including outlines and interface points, and coordinating and developing associated deliverables • Ability to interface with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the power plant design process • Experience with SmartPlant 3D software • U.S. work authorization sponsorship is not provided • MicroStation proficiency is valued but not required
