📋 Description

• Prepare new generator interconnection applications • Develop conceptual single-line diagrams • Verify compliance with reactive power requirements • Develop steady-state, dynamic, and short-circuit models • Review ISO feasibility and system impact studies • Provide guidance to ISO Interconnection Customers • Perform thermal and voltage contingency, transient stability, and short-circuit analyses • Perform advanced grid system studies for conventional and renewable generation projects • Support clients’ generator interconnection planning strategies • Use appropriate technology, data, automation, AI, and digital tools where relevant while applying professional judgment and review

🎯 Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with strong academic background and coursework emphasis in Power Systems Analysis • 3+ years previous power systems engineering experience • Knowledge of power regions and ISOs/RTOs – PJM, MISO, NYISO, ERCOT, SPP, CAISO, and ISO-NE • Experience modeling inverter-based resources and renewable generation, including WTG, PV, BESS, hybrid generation, and associated collector systems • Experience with PSS/E, PSLF, and/or PSCAD • Experience using transmission planning software, particularly PSS/E, PSLF, and TARA, for load flow modeling and contingency studies • Excellent verbal/written communication skills • Experience writing technical reports and proposals • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others • Project planning and leadership skills • Experience with dynamic transient, stability, and other advanced studies in TSAT, EMTP-RV, or PSCAD is a plus • Must not require U.S. work authorization sponsorship
