• Apply thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and power plant engineering knowledge • Prepare or review calculations, evaluations, and technical reports supporting client recommendations and reviews • Conduct equipment sizing, optimization evaluations, and equipment selection • Support system engineering, including design, modification, and analysis of nuclear power plant mechanical systems • Interface with clients and project teams to present technical discussions and project status • Develop engineering proposals and cost estimates • Mentor junior engineering staff on power plant engineering technical tasks • Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant sites for meetings and field verification as needed • Lead engineering problem-solving and guide use of automation, data, AI, and agentic AI tools to improve workflows and designs • Oversee engineers who program or script automation tools and review automated outputs
• BSME from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program • Strong academic background and interest in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics • Minimum 5 years of experience in the nuclear power industry • Excellent technical report writing skills • Knowledge of practical mechanical engineering and technology applications in project design • Strong interest in numerical computations and problem solving • Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations applicable to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants • Proficiency with MS Office applications • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Must not require U.S. work authorization sponsorship • MSME from an ABET-accredited program, PE License, and automation/AI oversight experience are valued but not required
