📋 Description
• Complete clinical data abstraction for reportable & non-reportable primary sites of cancer • Maintain Active ODS-C certification and meet productivity standards and quality benchmarks • Review EMR to identify cancer cases and abstract details into specialized medical software • Track patients' health, treatment, and disease progression • Ensure data accuracy and participate in QA reviews • Manage databases, run reports, and participate in special projects
🎯 Requirements
• Active ODS-C (Oncology Data Specialist – Certified) credential • Knowledge of latest guidelines from standard setters (CoC, SEER, and NAACCR) • Minimum of 2 years of current abstracting experience in a cancer registry • Experience in CoC-accredited or comprehensive cancer programs • High-speed internet access and experience with remote access, set-up, and troubleshooting technical issues • Secure home office HIPAA compliant. • Must be able to meet deadlines and work with time constraints.
