• Analyze claims reports, determine benefits due, and make timely payments and adjustments • Manage first-party property, casualty, and/or medical reimbursement claims based on client-specific coverage and programs • Make coverage determinations based on investigation and evaluation • Communicate claim actions with claimants and clients • Adjudicate proper settlements up to the designated authority level • Work directly with underwriters and clients on high-value and complex cases • Handle high volumes of claims, phone calls, and correspondence • Properly document claim files • Meet quality, production, customer guideline, and deadline requirements • Thoroughly review contested claims • Coordinate investigative efforts • Negotiate claim settlements up to the designated authority level • Provide superior customer service • Support the organization's quality programs • Perform other duties as assigned
• Active Property & Casualty Adjuster License for states where licensing is required • Multiple state adjuster licenses strongly preferred • Demonstrated experience handling ongoing property claims in a structured claims environment • Proven long-term engagement in desk-adjusting or staff-adjusting roles preferred • Experience managing claims through the full claim lifecycle • Experience maintaining productivity standards and working within established processes • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred • Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred • Three (3) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required • In-depth knowledge of first party property and casualty claim adjudication • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills • PC literacy, including Microsoft Office products • Excellent analytical and interpretive skills • Excellent organizational skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
