📋 Description

• Triage calls to assess needs and provide appropriate care advice and disposition • Promote cost-effective outcomes and safely facilitate return to work • Apply all phases of the nursing process when triaging calls • Obtain general health information and/or physician services referrals • Evaluate alternative treatment needs through telephonic contact and provider assessment • Use defined triage protocols and enter pertinent data into the computer system • Identify life-threatening emergencies and recommend appropriate interventions • Refer issues requiring physician intervention to physicians in a timely manner • Direct patients to the appropriate level of care, including emergency rooms, urgent care, primary treating physicians, or self-care • Adhere to quality assurance standards • Serve as a resource to triage team members

🎯 Requirements

• Active unrestricted RN compact licensure required • Two (2) years of recent clinical practice experience • Proficiency in multiple screens and multiple computer applications • Demonstrated effective verbal communication skills • Ability to identify life-threatening emergencies and recommend appropriate interventions • Ability to meet physical, auditory/visual, and mental work environment requirements • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
