📋 Description

• Implement SEO’s rigorous college prep curriculum for motivated high school students • Co-teach three to four periods of Math and lead classes when covering for another instructor • Follow lesson plans and meet lesson objectives while supporting rigorous instruction and student engagement • Facilitate classroom instruction, teach mini lessons, and organize small-group and one-on-one instruction • Navigate Brightspace, Nearpod, GSuite applications, and Zoom chat in a blended learning environment • Read, internalize, practice, and adapt lesson plans and materials to student needs • Host open-door lunch tutoring sessions and provide academic support • Attend scheduled meetings, professional development trainings, check-ins, and debriefs • Respond to emails and Zoom chats in a timely manner • Meet with the assigned instructional coach at least twice during the semester and implement feedback • Reflect on Scholar engagement and participation with the Scholar Advisor during asynchronous weeks • SEO closes educational and career opportunity gaps for 7,000 ambitious young people annually through education, training, mentoring, and career opportunity programs

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in content related field • Teaching certification, K-12 classroom teaching experience, and/or experience teaching at the college or university level • Reliable personal laptop meeting basic technology requirements • Experience working with high school-aged students • Comfortable navigating technological learning systems • Expertise and depth of knowledge in advanced high school-level Math subjects • Eagerness to engage in conversations analyzing the historical and continued causes of societal ills and challenges • Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, including fingerprinting, as a condition of employment • Understanding and practice of student-centered pedagogy preferred • Knowledge and experience with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) preferred • Certifications, PD course completions, and/or tertiary education in Instructional Technologies preferred
