📋 Description

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy • Perform account reconciliations, including bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reconciliations, and resolve identified discrepancies • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain an accurate and current general ledger • Review, classify, and record expenses in accordance with company policies and applicable budget guidelines • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, accruals, and prepaid expenses • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and providing timely, accurate responses to requests • Monitor accounting activities for compliance with GAAP, SOX requirements, internal controls, and established company procedures • Identify and recommend process improvements that strengthen controls and increase the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve discrepancies • Support maintenance of compliance with GAAP, SOX requirements, internal controls, and company policies

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical accounting experience • 5+ years of full accounting experience • Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero or NetSuite • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Strong understanding of Sarbanes Oxley compliance processes, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements • Strong organizational, time management, communication, and collaboration skills • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and partner effectively across teams • High degree of accuracy and analytical ability • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve accounting discrepancies and process inefficiencies • Progress toward CPA certification preferred • Experience with a publicly traded company or public accounting firm preferred • Experience in a startup or other fast paced environment preferred • Experience with robotics, manufacturing, or technology companies preferred • Exposure to inventory management or cost accounting processes preferred • Demonstrated ability to adapt and operate effectively in a dynamic, collaborative environment preferred
