📋 Description

• Own the short- and long-term technical vision for test automation and quality architecture across cloud and mobile systems • Design, build, and scale resilient, reusable frameworks • Make major technical decisions on test strategy in partnership with the Quality Manager • Define automation approaches across complex systems • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines • Provide technical mentorship to senior and early-career engineers • Conduct code reviews and drive best practices • Delegate work to grow team skill sets • Compile and analyze quality metrics, including flake risk, execution performance, and release gates • Communicate quality outcomes to engineering leadership • Share technical knowledge through design reviews, tech talks, and documentation

🎯 Requirements

• Equivalent of 7+ years in senior engineering roles with deep focus on automation testing and framework building, or comparable software development experience • Advanced proficiency in general-purpose programming • Expert-level command of modern automation tooling, including Playwright with TypeScript and Maestro with YAML • Deep understanding of black-box and white-box testing • Experience with API and integration testing • Experience with system-level validation across web and mobile • Experience with an AI-first approach to automation and architecture • Familiarity with Jira, XRay, Confluence, Claude, and GitHub • Strong communication and technical writing skills • Ability to work across engineering, product, and quality management stakeholders • Ability to deliver outcome metrics to leadership
