📋 Description

• Create and maintain technical documentation for mortgage and fintech systems, including LOS, POS, and servicing platforms • Develop user guides, API documentation, knowledge base articles, and training materials • Translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear, concise content • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to document features and system changes • Ensure documentation aligns with RESPA, TILA, HMDA, and TRID regulatory requirements • Maintain documentation standards, templates, and style guides • Support onboarding and training through structured learning materials • Manage documentation lifecycle, versioning, and updates • Participate in product releases to ensure documentation readiness • Gather feedback to continuously improve documentation quality and usability • Collaborate with engineering, product, compliance, and business teams to support operational efficiency, regulatory alignment, and user experience

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field, or equivalent experience, plus 3–5+ years of technical writing experience; alternatively, 7 years of technical writing experience • Experience preferably in fintech or regulated industries • Ability to obtain VA Public Trust Clearance • Strong ability to understand and explain complex technical systems • Experience writing API documentation and developer-facing content • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe writing and editing capabilities • Proficiency in Confluence and SharePoint documentation and knowledge base systems • Proficiency in Markdown editors and Git/GitHub/GitLab for technical tools and version control • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences • Strong collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Structured thinking and content organization • Attention to detail and consistency • Adaptability in fast-paced, regulated environments • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance • Availability during core business hours of 8am–5pm ET • Preferred: experience in mortgage, lending, or financial services; understanding of the mortgage lifecycle; familiarity with MISMO standards and financial data structures; Agile/Scrum experience; UX writing and content design; content management systems; compliance and regulatory documentation; training content or instructional design; AI tools; digital mortgage transformation; API-first and microservices architectures
