📋 Description

• Provide telephone services to callers filing reports of alleged neglect, abuse, and/or exploitation involving children and adults in Kentucky • Complete and file reports through the State Web Portal • Monitor callers' situations through case follow-up with State Child and Adult Protective Services workers • Interview clients and gather information to accept Abuse Line intake referrals • Document and maintain accurate records of telephone interventions • Screen callers for suicide/homicide risk and connect qualifying callers with Crisis Intervention Counselors • Attend staff meetings and required ongoing training events • Complete Abuse Line training required by State Child and Adult Protective Services • Provide educational information and resource referrals • Maintain confidentiality of abuse line reports • Present a professional demeanor with internal and external customers

🎯 Requirements

• Residents of the Greater Louisville area • Sixty hours completed undergraduate coursework, or current undergraduate student status, in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Human Services, Business, or a related field • Minimum of six months experience in social services/mental health services preferred • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the 60 hours undergraduate coursework • Ability and willingness to work third-shift and/or weekend and holiday hours • Ability to interview clients and gather information for Abuse Line intake referrals • Ability to complete and file reports via the State Web Portal • Ability to screen for suicide/homicide risk • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical codes of conduct
