📋 Description

• Provide clinical training and support to customers as a dosimetry subject matter expert, on-site and remotely • Train customers to safely and effectively operate Varian Medical System equipment and use its complex functionality • Manage customer clinical expectations • Provide competitive product performance information to headquarters, marketing, or engineering groups • Coordinate or lead customer and employee training courses • Conduct large-group presentations at seminars, training programs, and trade shows • Provide demo support at local, regional, and national customer trade events • Create quick tips, workbooks, video media, and implementation guides • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize services and customer relations • Create and maintain formal customer training support documents • Design and oversee initial and ongoing training for Clinical Applications Specialists and training for new product releases • Mentor Clinical Training Specialist I and II • Support trade shows, sales, marketing, and testing activities • Perform other duties assigned by Training Operations and/or Applications Manager • Travel to customer and client sites, including Canada, up to 75%–100% of the time

🎯 Requirements

• Must be a Certified Dosimetrist • Clinical understanding of processes in a medical and/or radiation oncology department • Minimum of 2–3 years clinical experience or equivalent 3 years in position • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent • Enrollment in Varian approved Development Program • Travel required up to 75–100% and intermittent weekends • Excellent interpersonal skills • Exemplary listening, verbal, and written communication skills • Adaptable, positive, and open to new ideas and/or situations • Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative • Eager to learn and quickly assimilate new concepts • Completion of LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility • Experienced knowledge of remote training tools, Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, ServiceMax, QlikView, and Learning Management System (LMS) • Proficient at leading a team and taking on special assignments • Proficient delivery of training for a minimum of 20%–30% of Varian products • Experienced product knowledge to support cross-functional teams • Must meet Vendor Credentialing requirements for full client-site access, including applicable identification, background check, drug screen, immunizations, TB testing, and healthcare training • Must meet Canadian Border Services requirements for travel into Canada • Valid U.S. or Canadian driver’s license • Must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with U.S. export control law
