📋 Description

• Ensure the Chapter’s approved Grand Canyon program objectives are implemented • Participate in developing program strategies with directly-impacted communities and partner organizations • Work closely with volunteer leaders and directly-impacted communities on Grand Canyon campaigns • Develop and implement campaign strategies for Grand Canyon programs and projects in accordance with chapter policy • Recruit and motivate volunteers and coordinate and facilitate grassroots involvement • Identify, recruit, and organize volunteers for Grand Canyon campaigns • Present to community, political, and governmental bodies regarding Grand Canyon efforts • Write press releases, newsletter articles, flyers, and social media posts • Work with media representatives and directly-impacted communities, including Indigenous communities, to ensure accurate representation • Serve on task forces and committees as assigned • Advance equity, inclusion, and justice initiatives through partnerships and engagement strategies • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years experience in the environmental field including research and organizing campaigns, media relations, and public speaking • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Proficient computer skills • Demonstrated ability and effectiveness working with volunteers and directly-impacted communities • Committed to continuously deepening and evolving understanding of systems of oppression through study, openness, and humility • Constructive, solution-oriented approach, can-do attitude, sense of humor, and authentic kindness • Experience working with or in Indigenous communities • Knowledge of the greater Grand Canyon region
