• Conduct business and systems analysis to understand business needs and define system requirements • Gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements • Document existing and future-state workflows and processes • Translate business needs into effective Epic solutions with users and stakeholders • Design, build, test, implement, and support Epic Payer Platform applications • Configure Epic environments to support standardized and comprehensive workflows • Participate in implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and ongoing application support • Evaluate new Epic functionality and technologies and recommend improvements • Analyze workflows and identify optimization opportunities • Evaluate user experience and recommend enterprise-level solutions • Develop and maintain workflow documentation • Partner with end users to investigate and resolve complex system issues • Perform root cause analysis and develop sustainable solutions • Troubleshoot application and workflow problems • Provide ongoing application/environment support and maintenance • Configure approved changes within Epic environments • Maintain application functionality and standardized workflows • Research new functionality and assess impacts on existing processes • Independently contribute to and manage medium- to large-scale Epic projects • Coordinate project activities and deliverables • Communicate project status, risks, issues, and timelines to stakeholders • Collaborate with technical teams, business users, and healthcare stakeholders • Identify process improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement of Epic applications and healthcare workflows • Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to complex assignments • Visualize, articulate, and solve complex business and technical problems
• Bachelor's degree required • 5–7+ years of systems administration/application experience within one or more Epic modules • Epic Application Certification or Accreditation required • Experience with system analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and support • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills • Excellent problem-solving and root-cause-analysis capabilities • Strong customer service and end-user support skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills • Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities • Knowledge of project management principles • Ability to work independently on complex assignments • 5+ years of healthcare industry experience, preferably within the insurance/payer environment, may be considered in lieu of a degree • Epic certification in one or more Payer Platform modules, such as Epic Payer Platform Core, Epic Payer Platform Member Experience, or Epic Tapestry • 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting Epic Payer Platform solutions in a healthcare environment • Experience working with healthcare insurance/payer workflows is highly desirable • Experience supporting enterprise-level Epic implementations and optimization initiatives • Must be a U.S. Citizen
