📋 Description

• Support the day-to-day execution of Silicon Ranch's interconnection process for an assigned portfolio of development and acquired projects • Manage interconnection processes and negotiations from siting to execution, including interconnection agreements, system studies, affected systems studies, and engineering agreements • Coordinate power flow simulation analysis, models, and congestion studies to support siting, interconnection agreements, PPAs, financing, and origination • Track and manage interconnection commercial arrangements for cost, schedule, and risk optimization • Build working relationships with utilities, ISOs, and industry representatives • Serve as the primary contact for interconnection status and risk, escalating issues to the VP of Interconnection as needed • Support regional interconnection processes, best practices, and due diligence for potential acquisitions • Support tactical plans and monitor tariff, planning, accessibility, and interconnection developments in new and existing markets • Provide input on utility system loading, deliverability, congestion, interconnection costs, and gen-tie alternatives • Support project ranking, prioritization, budget forecasting, underwriting, and development-stage gates • Track interconnection milestones, utility studies, equipment/testing coordination, facility construction, witness testing, and energization through commercial operation • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, utilities, clients, financial institutions, off-takers, investors, government agencies, and other organizations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred, with a desired emphasis on power • 2-4 years' experience in power generation interconnections; solar and project siting experience strongly preferred • Experience with WECC interconnection processes is a plus • Working knowledge of generation interconnection tariffs, interconnection agreements, and requirements in one or more key markets, including familiarity with the process from initial interconnection request through utility operations • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment • Strong project management, communication, and negotiation skills • Relevant experience in the US renewable energy market, project development, or interconnection experience is desirable • Familiarity with grid operations topics • Working knowledge of the transmission system planning process • Working knowledge of interconnection agreements and ability to support negotiation of utility acceptance of SRC modifications • General knowledge of power flow modeling and results • Ability to establish strong working relationships with utilities, ISOs, and industry representatives • Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics and write technical reports • Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills, capable of applying engineering principles to identify and solve issues • High-energy, positive attitude with the ability to receive constructive feedback
