📋 Description

• Design, build, and ship production AI features across the SimpliAI suite • Develop agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, structured extraction, and form and workflow intelligence • Build golden datasets, calibrated LLM-as-judge scoring, and regression evaluations • Integrate evaluations into the observability stack • Own the quality, safety, latency, and cost of shipped systems • Implement per-workload model routing and manage unit economics • Operate within compliance requirements using self-hosted observability, GovCloud inference paths, Amazon Bedrock, and disciplined data retention • Produce written designs, state assumptions, and surface uncertainty through the Plan-and-Review cadence • Develop reusable patterns, reviews, and shared components to raise the team's AI engineering standards • Participate in an AI-native product lifecycle involving autonomous agents in planning, coding, validation, and release while retaining human ownership of judgment and direction

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production ownership • 2+ years shipping LLM- or ML-backed features to real users • Demonstrated evaluation discipline, including ability to measure system performance • Hands-on experience with agentic patterns, RAG, tool use and function calling, structured outputs, prompt engineering, and context engineering • Solid backend engineering fundamentals, including APIs, data pipelines, and observability • Engineering-first mindset • Ability to make defensible design decisions under ambiguity • Ability to explain shipped systems in depth • Experience owning systems through production issues and failures • Cost and safety literacy, including understanding unit economics and failure modes • Experience in government, healthcare, or other regulated environments is a plus • Must not require employer sponsorship for a work visa • Must satisfy US employment authorization requirements
