📋 Description

• Lead the readiness function for the eastern half of Skydio's dock business • Own the customer journey from pre-sales technical, policy, and operational readiness through deployment, training, and go-live • Hire, onboard, coach, and retain Readiness Specialists • Set readiness quality standards, launch checklists, training delivery, and handoff documentation • Own regional capacity and account assignments • Monitor readiness portfolio health, site readiness, policy and approval milestones, deployment and training progress, and launch criteria • Identify at-risk launches, drive resolution, escalate blockers, and directly own complex or strategic launches when needed • Coordinate with the West-region counterpart to run a unified readiness function • Partner with Sales and Solutions Engineering leadership on readiness capacity, pipeline, site feasibility, and launch requirements • Develop and maintain the readiness playbook, including launch checklists, site standards, policy templates, flight readiness criteria, documentation, and handoff criteria • Define readiness clearly for customers and enforce readiness gates before dock shipment • Identify recurring blockers and drive systemic improvements that scale with dock volume • Represent customer needs to Product and Engineering and escalate cross-team conflicts • Ensure clean post-launch handoff to Customer Success • Maintain first-hand product knowledge through frequent hands-on use • Report to the Director, Launch Team

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a customer-facing operations, deployment, implementation, or project delivery role, including work with public safety customers • 1+ years leading a team, formally or as a lead with hiring and mentorship responsibility • Familiarity with Drone as First Responder concepts of operation and dock based remote operations • Ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities • Ability to build repeatable processes in an ambiguous environment • Highly organized with strong attention to detail • Comfortable managing timelines, dependencies, and readiness gates across a portfolio • Excellent written and verbal communication • Ability to travel 50 to 60% of the time, with heavier travel during periods of team growth and onboarding • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs unaided • FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days is required for certain positions • Prior public safety service or experience standing up a Drone as First Responder program on the agency side is nice to have • Experience supporting an agency through a public approval process is nice to have • Experience with dock-based, remote, and BVLOS operations at scale, site survey, RF and LTE assessment, and network readiness for fixed installations is nice to have • Experience owning a customer onboarding or implementation function through rapid growth is nice to have • Working knowledge of Salesforce, Palantir, Databricks, or equivalents is nice to have
