📋 Description

• Manage all components of claim handling for the Management Liability line of business • Review submitted materials and policy documents and perform complete coverage analysis • Prepare coverage determination correspondence and coverage letters • Review and provide direction on reserves and settlement authority for complex, specialized claims • Handle claims involving D&O, EPL, Fiduciary, Commercial Crime, Financial Institution E&O, Financial Institution bonds, and Representations and Warranties/transactional liability • Ensure proper determinations of coverage, liability, damages, and claim resolution • Ensure proper reserving in compliance with corporate policy • Manage claim litigation and strategize with defense counsel and experts • Negotiate settlements and attend mediations, arbitrations, and trials as appropriate • Prepare Large Loss Reports and Trial Alerts • Make recommendations for claim disposition, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement • Develop and implement strategies to correct adverse trends • Monitor claim quality and customer feedback for regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction • Review and assign new files as needed • Support business partners through claim communications, trend identification, development input, and marketing support • Attend claim review meetings with business partners • Consult with staff and participate in related projects • Anticipate and meet internal and external customer needs • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required • JD highly preferred • Minimum of 3 years D&O claims experience (public and private company) or related education/experience • High-level skills and extensive claims technical knowledge, including D&O, EPL, and Financial Institution products and industry • Extensive knowledge of legal principles and policy interpretation • Prior D&O coverage experience required • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative • Expert analytical, decision-making, negotiation, problem-solving, project management, organizational, and teamwork skills • Superior written and oral communication skills • Strategic thinking capabilities • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and other claims tracking tools
