📋 Description

• Establish practical, light-touch company-wide AI governance, acceptable-use standards, data-handling and security guardrails, and tool-approval pathways • Contribute to the innovation and idea intake funnel by triaging requests and prototypes and prioritizing them by value, effort, and risk • Maintain a lightweight review cadence that supports safe and consistent AI use • Raise company-wide AI fluency through hands-on training, office hours, documentation, and reusable prompt/workflow libraries • Own SmartTech.ai internal messaging and change management, including announcements, success stories, and adoption campaigns • Coordinate the departmental AI Champions network and share successful practices across the company • Design, build, and ship LLM-powered tools, agents, and integrations • Set technical standards for prompt engineering, agentic workflows, RAG over company knowledge, and API integration • Harden and deploy prototypes created by others into supportable solutions • Design and establish sanctioned AI development environments, hosting platforms, and DevOps tooling • Establish secure, documented, scalable infrastructure in coordination with IT and InfoSec • Create reusable patterns, templates, and reference architectures for AI application development • Evaluate, select, and manage the company’s AI tools and platform portfolio • Map tools to business needs and use cases • Track adoption, value, and ROI and maintain a prioritized AI investment roadmap • Manage vendor relationships, licensing, and costs and advise leadership on build-versus-buy decisions • Leverage AI and digital tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort • Identify process improvements and support adoption of emerging technologies and digital workflows • Complete assigned tasks and deliverables on time and on budget • Perform other related duties as assigned • Report to the VP of Engineering & Technology, operate within the Special Projects and Innovation department, and coordinate a network of departmental AI Champions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience • 5+ years in software/AI development, technical program management, or AI/ML enablement, including hands-on delivery of AI or LLM-powered solutions • 2+ years building, leading, or maturing an AI enablement program, Center of Excellence, or comparable initiative at a similarly sized organization • Demonstrated experience building or maturing an AI enablement program or Center of Excellence at a similarly sized, fast-scaling company • Power user of Claude, including claude.ai, Claude Code, CoWork, Projects, connectors/MCP, and agentic tools • Fluency across modern AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Perplexity • Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, agent and workflow design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and API integration • Application development and rapid prototyping using AI app builders/full-stack tools such as Replit and Lovable, plus Python scripting • Experience with Git, CI/CD, containerization, and cloud hosting such as Microsoft Azure • Knowledge of relational, vector, and time-series data, knowledge bases, and data-pipeline concepts • Experience with workflow automation platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate and Copilot Studio • Working knowledge of AI governance and IT/OT security frameworks • Program and change management skills, including intake and prioritization, roadmapping, stakeholder management, and internal communications • Ability to translate business needs into AI use cases and teach technical and non-technical audiences • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams • Ability to work successfully in a remote environment with effective communication, organization, self-motivation, proactiveness, and resourcefulness • Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence • Effective oral and written communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and as part of a team • Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines • Ability to plan, prioritize, and delegate work • Organizational skills to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously • Ability to follow company and site safety requirements • Ability to travel up to 20% to any or all 50 U.S. states • Valid REAL ID or acceptable alternative, such as a passport, for business air travel effective May 7, 2025
