📋 Description

• Lead a team of engineers through a zero-to-one build for regulated customers • Define technical requirements, make architecture changes, and deploy and operate services in regulated environments end to end • Partner with the platform team on adaptations for regulated infrastructure while maintaining a unified product • Build repeatable environment provisioning using infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD, including security scanning and change control • Partner with Security, Compliance, Product, and Applied AI to translate regulatory requirements into engineering work • Ensure design decisions are documented and audit-ready • Own continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and operational evidence for regulated environments • Design alternatives where commercial and regulated infrastructure differ • Drive hiring during hypergrowth • Coach and develop engineers and tech leads • Set priorities, plans, and delivery commitments • Establish engineering standards for design reviews, testing, observability, and root cause analysis

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong hands-on technical depth • 2+ years in an engineering management role, leading a team of engineers • 2+ years of hands-on experience deploying into government or other regulated cloud environments with isolated, air-gapped, or otherwise restricted networks • Experience designing, building, and operating scaled production systems in the cloud • Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and containerized services • Deep technical fluency in architecture and design reviews • Experience with security-sensitive or regulated environment compliance, such as FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, CMMC, SOC 2, HIPAA, or similar • Experience hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineers, ideally through rapid growth • Clear communication with engineers, security and compliance partners, customers, and executives
