• Perform professional and technical field services at client sites • Conduct transformer surveys and baseline measurements • Perform system startup, commissioning, integrated system testing, preventive and planned maintenance, and emergency repairs • Maintain safety and perform all work in a safe and professional manner • Coordinate complex schedules, travel, and site access to secure environments • Perform on-site activities accurately and deliver reports on time • Work with client engineers, contractors, and other contacts to meet project requirements and ensure customer satisfaction • Review work instructions, manuals, commissioning scripts, electrical drawings, and one-line diagrams to execute work safely • Coordinate with technical support and management teams to escalate issues • Support transformer measurement, verification, energy savings calculations, configuration, and replacement transformer design • Complete training and perform startup, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of PDUs and small/medium UPS systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred, or equivalent electrical/power electronics field experience or related military experience • Understanding of, or willingness to learn and follow, OSHA 1910 and NFPA 70E health and safety regulations • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, electrical code, transformers, power electronics, PDUs, UPS systems, ESS, and STS • Ability to deliver high-quality customer service while working independently • Ability to plan travel and execute complex client-site scheduling • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the energy conservation market • Ability to collect and synthesize information from multiple sources across diverse projects and issues • Ability to represent Powersmiths and communicate with clients, contractors, commissioning agents, and others at varying technical levels • Ability to follow standards and customer-specific project requirements • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines • Ability to obtain clearance to access schools and government installations; customer background checks and fingerprinting may be required • Ability to purchase airline tickets, rent vehicles, and reserve lodging at personal expense with monthly reimbursement • Successful completion of pre-employment drug test and background check; ongoing or periodic testing may be required • Commitment to health and safety best practices and regulations • Adherence to company policies • Computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and basic TCP/IP networking • Valid driver’s license • Valid passport for international travel • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship • Ability to travel regularly to customer sites, including driving or other transportation • Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds occasionally • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, or kneel for extended periods • Ability to read technical documents, diagrams, and computer screens and communicate effectively
