📋 Description

• Lead and own the Project Management function within SOVRA's Professional Services team • Supervise, coach, and evaluate Project Managers as a player-coach • Ensure quality, throughput, departmental KPIs, and initiatives are achieved for customer implementation and optimization projects across SOVRA's product portfolio • Design repeatable project and change management processes and templates for process improvement and business analysis • Create and improve project artifacts including project and milestone definitions, OKRs, WBS, POAMs, RACI, risk and change management, RAID, objectives, acceptance criteria, budgets, and timelines • Coordinate stakeholders, including outsourced teams, and track project progress across Waterfall, Agile, Kanban, and other methodologies • Manage change requests, risks, corrections, strategy, and mitigation while ensuring solutions meet agreed scope, stakeholder expectations, and target outcomes • Partner with internal business units on launch and knowledge transfer of project delivery artifacts • Define key metrics and make data-informed decisions • Control project delivery within agreed budgets and schedules • Drive stakeholder engagement, communication, and visibility for ongoing projects • Deliver status updates to the C-suite and relevant stakeholders • Maintain accurate and current project data across project management software and Jira • Refine the Project Manager role and capacity model, establish career progression, shorten time to value, and author best practices and process improvements

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years managing people in a Project Management function or PMO • At least 3 years at Director level or equivalent scope • Proven track record delivering critical customer-facing software projects according to PMP standards, including phased go-live modules or projects lasting over 6 months • Experience managing projects and leading teams that include external partner workstream ownership • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, technology, or another relevant field, or equivalent professional experience • PMP certification • Background in SaaS delivery and Agile/Scrum development methodologies • Experience in enterprise-level customer delivery excellence, project management, consulting, or implementation organizations • Proficiency in project and program management techniques and methodologies • Experience writing project plans, creating templates, reporting and dashboarding, communicating with executives, and delivering project visuals • Excellent command of enterprise-level project management software such as Workfront, Kantata/Mavenlink, or Smartsheet • Proficiency with Office suite tools including MS Project, PowerPoint, and Excel • Proven experience developing and optimizing resource management and capacity planning models • Ability to travel for on-site project work within the US and Canada approximately 10% of the time • Must be authorized to work in the United States; work visa or transfer sponsorship is not available • Industry experience in Procurement, ERP, HR, Fintech, or other large enterprise software industries is an asset • Public sector delivery experience is an asset
