📋 Description

• Oversee PPE accounting, capitalization policies, asset disposals, impairment considerations, and the fixed asset register • Review complex transactions, contract assessments, and financing arrangements and determine accounting treatment • Strengthen accrual methodologies and enforce month-end cut-off procedures • Reduce manual adjustments identified during close • Establish balance sheet reconciliation standards and stronger review controls • Foster clear ownership across key accounts • Prepare audit schedules, reports, and technical documentation for management and external auditors • Partner in the software migration by documenting processes, identifying control gaps, redesigning workflows, and mapping accounting requirements • Assess financial risk, investigate discrepancies, and improve internal controls to prevent errors and fraud • Partner with leadership to connect daily accounting operations with strategic financial oversight

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Required experience with QuickBooks Online • Experience with NetSuite is preferred • Familiarity with complex accounting systems and software migrations • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, Financial Auditor, or Assistant Controller • Deep, hands-on expertise in US GAAP and complex capitalization policies • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to apply high-level accounting judgment • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail • Ability to work independently, manage shifting timelines, and thrive in a fully remote environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to educate staff on policies and present clear findings to external auditors and leadership
