📋 Description

• Work with a multi-disciplined team in the design and analysis of rail engineering projects • Collaborate with contractors and construction staff on design/build projects • Provide project management for track design projects, including quality control, engineering design, construction specifications and project budgets • Use MicroStation/OpenRoads to create aerial concept drawings and design plan/profile sheets with notes and callouts • Define roadway modeler templates, push cross sections and define mass grading requirements for track projects • Create engineering project drawings and assist in developing digital maps from survey data • Perform plan updates and modifications for submission to railroad agencies • Manage client updates, project schedules and design team coordination • Prepare plans, specifications and construction cost estimates • Manage rail development design projects • Self-check work for completeness and accuracy using accepted drawing standards • Assist with estimating engineering work effort for proposal preparation

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the civil engineering field • High School Diploma or equivalent • Completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting or related field • At least 5 years of related work experience • Equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities • Proficiency with MicroStation/OpenRoads software • Ability to prepare drawings, exhibits, design plans, specifications and construction cost estimates • Ability to work with survey data sets and digital maps • Ability to perform project management, quality control, construction specifications and project budgeting • Ability to travel • Valid personal vehicle availability implied by reimbursed personal vehicle use
