• Review medical records, treatment plans, and diagnostic information to assess functional capacity and disability duration • Consult with claim professionals and healthcare providers to evaluate medical conditions and treatment appropriateness • Collaborate with claimants, physicians, employers, and vocational specialists to support recovery and return-to-work plans • Identify medical issues, inconsistencies, or limitations that may impact claim eligibility or outcomes • Provide medical education, consultation, and disability prevention support to internal teams and employer groups • Support disability claim decisions and help claimants achieve safe and timely return-to-work outcomes
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Sciences, or a related field • 4+ years of clinical nursing, hospital, utilization review, quality management, case management, or related healthcare experience • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license • Experience reviewing medical records and assessing functional capacity, treatment plans, and disability-related medical conditions • Knowledge of disability management, return-to-work practices, and medical case management • Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, claim professionals, employers, and other stakeholders • Ability to obtain a Certified Case Manager (CCM) or Certified Professional Disability Management (CPDM) designation within two years of hire • Successful completion of criminal background investigation and employment, education, and licensing verification • Must be bondable
