📋 Description

• Lead the Finance Systems team supporting the Finance Controller’s Office • Manage analyst workload planning, prioritization, coaching, and performance development • Own intake, triage, prioritization, enhancement backlog, and governance for Finance system requests • Establish governance for configuration decisions, documentation standards, and change control • Oversee configuration quality, system controls, posting rules, validations, approvals, and audit-readiness documentation • Serve as product manager for the Workday systems roadmap, defining scope, sequencing, and business value • Lead requirements, development, testing, delivery, automation, process redesign, and system optimization initiatives • Drive alignment across Finance, Accounting, AP, Grants, Gifts, Business Assets, Projects, Payroll, Procurement, HR, Treasury, and IT • Present options, risks, standardization opportunities, and recommendations to stakeholders • Coordinate deployment and adoption of new features with IT and business partners • Lead Workday semi-annual release planning, impact assessment, regression testing strategy, stakeholder communication, and readiness activities • Oversee Workday Financials and implementation, upgrade, and lifecycle management of other Finance Controller’s Office systems • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field • Minimum of 6 years of hands on experience with Workday Financials, including ownership of complex configuration, functional architecture, and cross domain financial processes • Demonstrated experience leading Workday enhancements, functional design and redesign, solution architecture, and automation initiatives across Accounting, AP, Payroll, Procurement, and other Finance functions • Experience configuring Workday business processes, validations and condition rules, allocations and financial frameworks, and security groups • Experience leading Workday release cycles, including impact analysis, regression testing strategy, stakeholder communication, and business readiness planning • Experience developing advanced and composite reports, calculated fields, and analytics datasets • Experience supporting or managing multiple finance systems in addition to Workday, including participation in system implementations or upgrades • Experience working with IT on Workday integrations, security, and technical escalations • Deep expertise in Workday configuration leadership across business processes, validations, posting rules, approvals, and reporting logic • Strong understanding of Workday core finance processes, including period close, procure to pay, payroll, and record to report • Strong knowledge of Workday’s data model, including FDM, cost centers, spend categories, ledger structures, and accounting rules • Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making, communication, stakeholder influence, prioritization, and multi-system oversight skills • Strong knowledge of generative AI, cloud services programming, and databases
