📋 Description

• Prepare financial statements, schedules, journal entries, and complex accounting calculations in accordance with GAAP • Review monthly journal entries and interfaces to ensure financial statement activity is properly recorded • Evaluate accounting procedures and recommend improvements to efficiency and accuracy • Compile data for annual reporting, 990 tax returns, and auditor-requested schedules • Analyze actual versus budgeted performance, financial data, and budget variances • Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory filings, including DMHC and CMS filings, in compliance with state and federal regulations • Produce and communicate accurate monthly financial results and written financial analysis • Maintain supporting schedules and documentation • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and clear reconciling items promptly • Assist with policies, procedures, monthly closing cycles, reporting criteria, and streamlined accounting processes • Resolve accounting and reporting issues and provide education and support to personnel • Assist with training and guidance for junior accounting staff • Participate in organization projects and perform other assigned duties • Adhere to safety, P4P’s, HIPAA, and compliance policies

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or other related field • 5 years related experience in a computerized accounting environment • Strong verbal/written communication and listening skills, including excellent interpersonal skills and telephone communication • Knowledge of accounting principles and systems to maintain general ledgers and journals and prepare related financial statements and reports • Spreadsheet and word processing abilities, preferably in a Windows environment • Analytical skills suitable for complex and detailed analyses of accounting issues and accounting systems • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to complete assignments within allotted time and maintain workflow • Ability to explain complex accounting and financial information to non-financial people courteously • Ability to work with others in a flexible, cooperative manner • No licenses or certifications required
