📋 Description

• Complete loss control surveys, primarily in Illinois • Report on risks, exposures, and controls • Develop service plans and provide consulting services for larger accounts • Manage loss control assignments to achieve risk improvement and continuing account service • Analyze operations and exposures using established loss control practices and procedures • Apply recognized codes and standards, including OSHA, NFPA, and DOT • Assess risk attitude for addressing uncontrolled exposures • Identify risk improvement opportunities through recommendations and safety program improvements • Manage and develop service partnership plans for an assigned book of business • Build and maintain underwriter and agency relationships • Find a wide range of solutions using knowledge, experience, and creative resources • Follow customer experience standards and ensure customer issues are resolved • Participate in department meetings, committees, and projects • Improve loss control process efficiency and effectiveness • Travel periodically overnight and occasionally to the main office in Edina, Minnesota

🎯 Requirements

• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license and acceptable driving record • Demonstrated ability to multitask and problem-solve • Demonstrated time management skills with ability to meet deadlines • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills • Ability to think analytically and exercise sound risk evaluation judgment • Proficient use of core systems, office and computer equipment, and software packages • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related business or technical work experience in insurance or occupational health and safety • Strong organizational and prioritization skills • Understanding of industry practices, standards, and underwriting concepts for multiple lines of business and risks • Experience developing service plans and providing consultative services to larger, complex accounts • Proficiency in property risk evaluations • Experience evaluating fire protection systems in commercial and industrial buildings is a plus • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills • High degree of knowledge in a variety of industries • Continuing education, including one or more of CSP, ARM, CRM, OHST, or CHST certifications • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable
