📋 Description

• Own customer contracting across the full lifecycle, from first redline through signature, amendments, assignments, and renewals • Negotiate complex commercial terms and structures in a fast-growing, highly regulated business • Drive payer trading partner agreements and key vendor agreements to close quickly and within the company’s risk profile • Maintain rigorous compliance standards • Use AI and other technology to build and maintain the contracting engine • Identify and automate repeatable, rules-based contracting work while reserving lawyer time for judgment • Track negotiation patterns and convert them into sharper standard positions, better templates, and fewer escalations • Serve as the go-to legal resource for Sales and Account Management • Answer day-to-day questions, coach teams on legal positions, and identify when deals require additional review • Take on new legal areas as Stedi and the Legal team grow

🎯 Requirements

• Bar-admitted • Several years of commercial contracting, transactional, or regulatory counseling experience • Experience handling complex legal matters end to end • Experience in BigLaw, a high-growth company, or both • Experience using AI tools, CLM platforms, or other technology to improve legal work • Ability to explain complex issues in plain language • Clear writing and confident communication with executives, lawyers, regulators, procurement staff, engineers, and others • Ability to handle high-volume work, ambiguity, and shifting priorities while maintaining quality • Business acumen to combine legal rigor with strategic persuasion • Generalist mindset and ability to handle unfamiliar legal matters • Ability to work quickly, precisely, and follow through • Applicants based in the United States must be currently authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship requirements are addressed in the application
