📋 Description

• Design high quality interactive experiences across mobile, both iOS and Android, and web • Lead projects throughout the entire design process; from creative conception to production and release • Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Marketing to help define strategy, and the roadmap to achieve business objectives (growth) • Collaborate and give feedback/direction to other designers to continually push the level of quality on the team • Evaluate current processes, identify best practices, develop plans to reach goals and implement improvements • Utilize and contribute to the Step Design System

🎯 Requirements

• Significant demonstrated experience with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design for consumer-facing products • Strong visual design sensibility with the range to move fluidly between systemized UI and more expressive, brand-forward moments • A craft-obsessed designer who strives for quality and has an amazing attention to detail • The ability to lead design for important projects with experience delegating work and giving direction to other designers • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (you should be able to clearly articulate your design decisions and the logic behind them) • The ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision (not just 'how it should look' but 'what we should build') • Experience in building and shipping applications or software (mobile/web) • Uses AI as a creative and productivity multiplier — able to move faster and explore more ideas without sacrificing craft or judgment • Must have a portfolio featuring examples of design work
