• Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, DEA, CDC, and state environmental regulations while maintaining required permits, records, and documentation • Conduct facility safety inspections, operational observations, compliance audits, and hazard assessments to identify risks and recommend corrective actions • Investigate workplace injuries, vehicle accidents, near misses, environmental incidents, and property damage, including root cause analysis and corrective action tracking • Support environmental compliance programs involving regulated medical waste, hazardous waste, stormwater, wastewater, air emissions, spill prevention, and pollution prevention • Deliver employee safety training, including Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazard Communication, DOT Hazmat, PPE, Emergency Response, and other required regulatory programs • Maintain EH&S databases, training records, inspection reports, incident documentation, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reports • Analyze EH&S performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety and regulatory compliance • Provide day-to-day EH&S guidance to facility leadership and employees while supporting emergency response planning, fleet safety initiatives, and transportation compliance • Assist with customer audits, regulatory inspections, facility startups, operational changes, and special projects • Travel to Company locations to conduct audits, investigations, training, inspections, and operational support • Ensure timely reporting of workplace injuries to insurance carriers and third-party • Perform additional duties as required.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) • 3-5 years of EH&S experience in manufacturing, transportation, logistics, healthcare, regulated medical waste, pharmaceutical, or industrial operations • Experience conducting safety inspections, compliance audits, incident investigations, and implementing corrective actions • Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, OSHA 30-Hour General Industry, DOT Hazardous Materials Training, or HAZWOPER are preferred • Strong knowledge of occupational safety principles, industrial hygiene, hazard recognition, risk assessment, and environmental compliance • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EH&S management systems • Ability to travel approximately 40-50%, including overnight travel, and perform work in industrial and outdoor environments while wearing required personal protective equipment.
