📋 Description

• Prepare, review, update, and present engineering reports related to Technical Assistance projects across DOE/CMEI program offices • Develop, update, and maintain project plans, standard operating procedures, technical workflows, and documentation supporting Technical Assistance delivery • Provide independent technical project support, ensuring engineering accuracy, clarity, and compliance with DOE/CMEI guidance • Analyze scientific and engineering data, identify trends, and perform quality-control checks to validate accuracy and consistency • Support DOE in evaluating energy technologies, systems, and processes relevant to critical minerals, manufacturing innovation, energy efficiency, and next-generation energy systems • Maintain transparency and adherence to federal advisory and assistance service requirements throughout engineering work products

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS or MA/MS degree in engineering or a related field • Professional Engineer (PE) license required • 3 to 10 years of relevant energy or environmental engineering experience • Ability to perform functional duties independently in support of DOE programs and Technical Assistance work • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal clearance up to Top Secret/DOE Q clearance levels • Strong engineering foundation with demonstrated ability to independently perform energy-related technical tasks • Ability to interpret, analyze, and validate scientific data and engineering information • Excellent technical writing skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite • Willingness to learn DOE systems such as STRIPES, FAST, PAGE, and PMC • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams • Professional, respectful communication • Dedication to STI Federal’s core values
