📋 Description

• Build, scale, and run Stord’s enterprise HSS function across a multi-site fulfillment network • Lead and develop Compliance Program Managers, Regional Managers, and site-level HSS professionals • Translate enterprise HSS strategy into operating plans with priorities, milestones, metrics, and accountability • Own OSHA, EPA, GMP, GDP, DOT, Hazmat, and related compliance program outcomes across facilities • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, CX, and Account Management to use compliance capabilities to win and retain business • Support regulated customer onboarding, RFP responses, customer audits, and post-audit corrective action reviews • Govern occupational safety, physical security, and loss prevention programs across the network • Identify, prioritize, and mitigate enterprise-level physical, regulatory, financial, and reputational risks • Manage HSS budgets, headcount planning, and technology investments • Serve as senior HSS partner to Operations, Legal, HR, Finance, CX, and Sales • Recruit, hire, develop, and hold HSS teams accountable • Conduct operating reviews, identify capability gaps, and build development and succession plans • Provide senior direction for compliance architecture, audit readiness, regulatory currency, and escalations • Own safety outcomes including TRIR, DART, near-miss reporting, and corrective action quality • Oversee serious incident investigations and apply lessons learned across the network • Set physical security and loss prevention standards, including access control, CCTV, perimeter, and visitor management • Oversee significant loss prevention investigations involving theft, fraud, and internal integrity matters • Lead the enterprise HSS risk register and Safety and Security Steering Committee • Manage HSS-side insurance relationships, loss control audits, and coverage improvement opportunities • Provide executive oversight during major incidents and coordinate with Legal, HR, and external communications • Own HSS reporting, dashboards, metrics, business cases, and continuous improvement initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in health, safety, security, or compliance leadership • At least 3 years in a director-level or equivalent senior leadership role • Experience leading multi-disciplinary HSS teams across a multi-site network in 3PL, eCommerce fulfillment, distribution, or a similarly complex logistics environment • Demonstrated track record of building and scaling enterprise compliance programs with measurable business outcomes • Experience operating as a cross-functional senior leader, influencing Sales, Operations, Legal, HR, and Finance on HSS-related decisions • Deep working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, GMP/GDP, DOT, and adjacent regulatory frameworks applicable to warehouse and fulfillment operations • Strong background in enterprise compliance program design, governance, and performance management • Experience with physical security programs, loss prevention strategy, and integrity investigation oversight • Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements and risk profiles into clear business narratives for executive and commercial audiences • Familiarity with compliance management systems, audit platforms, and HSS performance reporting infrastructure • CSP or equivalent senior safety credential preferred • CHMM or equivalent environmental/Hazmat credential a plus • LPC, LPQ, or equivalent loss prevention credential preferred • Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence background a plus • Experience supporting CTPAT, TAPA, GMP, or SOC-related certification programs preferred • A senior leader who earns credibility through expertise, follow-through, and results • Equally effective in regulatory agency interactions, customer compliance reviews, and coaching conversations with Regional Managers • Commercially minded and able to connect compliance and safety performance to revenue, margin, and customer retention • Able to lead through significant incidents, regulatory challenges, and peak operational stress • Able to develop people and build a high-performing organization • Clear, confident communication at all levels, from frontline employee concerns to board-level risk briefings
