📋 Description

• Build, operate, and scale AWS infrastructure supporting the microservices platform • Develop and maintain fast, reliable, and safe CI/CD pipelines • Build reusable templated configuration, including Helm charts and CircleCI orbs • Manage infrastructure as code with application-code-level rigor • Improve observability and monitoring for production debugging • Partner with product engineering teams to provide practical platform guidance • Reduce friction in engineers' day-to-day work • Make and document thoughtful technical trade-offs • Grow into leading complex platform projects end to end

🎯 Requirements

• Comfortable working in AWS and familiar with its core services • Experience using observability or monitoring tools, such as Datadog • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language • Experience with infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform, or eagerness to learn it • Experience helping run and scale infrastructure • Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines • Care about developer experience and supporting engineers • Ability to explain complex platform concepts to non-infrastructure audiences • Ability to reason through and communicate technical trade-offs • Ownership mindset and readiness to grow into leading complex projects • Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and skills • Ability to use AI to sharpen and speed up work while maintaining judgment and quality • Alignment with Storyblocks' engineering and company values • Nice to have: Experience with Helm, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Argo Rollouts, Istio, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Datadog/APM, databases, microservices, security, release engineering, or QA
