📋 Description

• Manage the Recovery Services area of the Legal Claims Administration Group • Report to the Senior Managing Director of Legal Claims Administration • Oversee all casework while managing a personal caseload • Serve as first point of contact with clients • Support partner counsel in settlement negotiations and mediation • Obtain, manage, and analyze client and opponent data • Prepare independent data analyses and defense analyses • Respond to requests for extensions and information • Maintain case trackers • Create and implement template responses • Prepare and distribute Demand Letters and Complaints • File Complaints and serve Summonses and Complaints • Prepare draft Demand Letters, Complaints, settlement agreements, and settlement parameters • Supervise administrative work including portfolio analysis, tracker maintenance, address research, and corporate name research • Coordinate settlement negotiations and execution of settlement agreements • Track case status, settlement completion, and receipt of settlement funds • Coordinate case communications, secondary defense analyses, settlement documents, motions, mediations, and pleadings • Maintain portfolio status trackers and schedule regular stakeholder meetings • Support research for potential preference-case portfolios • Communicate task completion status to supervisors • Support other areas of the Legal Claims Administration group • Stay current on law related to Sections 547, 550, and 502 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code • Prepare client alerts and related publications

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. or MBA • At least 5 years’ experience working on corporate restructuring matters • Deep familiarity with the U.S. Bankruptcy Code and bankruptcy process • Bankruptcy litigation experience is a plus • Experience managing preference matters or other avoidance actions is a plus • At least intermediate proficiency in Excel • Experience with DocuSign is a plus • Experience with PACER/ECF is a plus • Experience with Westlaw and Lexis is a plus
