📋 Description

• Serve as the legal counterpart to the Commercial team across every commercial deal with health systems and life sciences partners • Own Qualified Health's position on IP, data, and liability in every commercial agreement • Lead legal review of value-based and outcomes-based commercial arrangements • Screen life sciences engagements for Anti-Kickback Statute and fair market value exposure before signature • Maintain oversight of contractual obligations across all signed agreements • Coordinate with outside counsel on commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters • Coordinate with outside regulatory counsel on device and software as a medical device (SaMD) classification and recurring regulatory questions • Set standards for outside counsel scope, timeline, and cost • Establish processes for commercial legal work from intake through review to signature, including templates, standard positions, and legal sign-off thresholds

🎯 Requirements

• JD and active bar membership • 7+ years of experience in a healthcare or life sciences legal role, including meaningful in-house experience at a company of similar stage • Experience negotiating enterprise contracts, including IP ownership, data use, and liability terms, with health systems, pharmaceutical companies, or comparable regulated counterparties • Experience navigating Anti-Kickback Statute, fair market value, and data governance questions in a healthcare or life sciences context, including tracking compliance obligations across a portfolio of contracts • Experience coordinating multiple outside counsel relationships • Experience building legal infrastructure from scratch in a fast-moving startup
