📋 Description

• Lead and coordinate schoolwide community engagement initiatives for students and families • Develop a calendar of in-person outings, virtual events, family activities, and other connection opportunities • Identify creative ways to increase student and family participation in the MGLVA community • Collaborate across grade bands and departments to ensure engagement opportunities are accessible and relevant • Serve as a welcoming point of connection at school-sponsored events and activities • Build relationships with families and gather feedback about interests, needs, and participation barriers • Support family belonging, connection, satisfaction, and long-term engagement • Promote events and engagement opportunities through school communication channels • Maintain MGLVA's presence on Facebook, Instagram, LC Community, and other approved channels • Capture and share positive stories, activities, celebrations, and experiences • Partner with school leadership on marketing and school visibility initiatives • Encourage staff to identify and share student-success and family-engagement stories • Track participation and engagement trends to evaluate initiatives and identify improvements • Champion school culture and help students and families experience MGLVA as a connected community

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside in Michigan • Bachelor's degree in education, Counseling, Human Services or related field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Two years of experience working with families in a similar capacity, developing parent mentors/Learning Coaches, and/or facilitating community involvement • Three years of experience working with families in a similar capacity, developing parent mentors/parent training, and/or facilitating community involvement • Ability to clear required background check • Familiarity with online learning environment • Strong organization and time management skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) • Web proficiency • Ability to travel 20% of the time
