📋 Description

• Deliver specific Culinary Arts CTE course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process around individual student needs • Monitor student progress through K12's learning management system • Work with students and parents to advance learning and develop and monitor post-secondary success plans using online tools • Apply K12 curriculum, Online School, State, Common Core, and industry-specific learning standards • Support students and parents with placement, online school setup, curriculum, and instructional issues • Develop instructional tools and strategies to supplement and enhance the curriculum • Contact students regularly by email or phone and respond to inquiries, usually within one business day • Participate in weekly teacher conference calls and scheduled face-to-face and virtual staff meetings • Maintain student academic progress records and generate formal reports • Alert administrators about concerns regarding student progress and attendance • Process placement changes and complete semester and end-of-year progress reports • Organize orientation, training, social, and educational activities for students and families • Create a monthly newsletter or update the website • Travel to assigned geographic areas to support students and participate in school activities • Lead student/parent orientations • Prepare students for and administer state assessments; proctor site-based exams • Assess students according to policy

🎯 Requirements

• Arizona Residency Required • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of successful teacher experience within the virtual setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Arizona Standard Career and Technical Education Family Consumer Sciences certificate, or Standard Specialized Career and Technical Education Family and Consumer Sciences certificate • Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card • Ability to clear required background checks • Strong content and subject-matter knowledge • Ability to support and guide adults and students • Knowledge of databases utilized by K12 • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Organization and time-management skills • Microsoft Office 365 and web proficiency • Ability to travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school • Experience as an online learner (desired) • Experience with project-based learning (desired) • Experience using a student information system or other database (desired) • Ability to support adults with basic computer setup and navigation (desired)
