📋 Description

• Deliver specific elementary course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and uphold student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Build and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students, learning coaches, and parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches and parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Augment course content using approved synchronous and asynchronous tools • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • Active state teaching license • Elementary teaching certification for Grades K-6 • If certification is from another state, obtain Indiana reciprocity within 60 days of employment • Indiana residency required • Ability to clear the required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during the workday • Experience working with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children in using technology • Experience teaching online/virtually and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment • Experience with online learning platforms • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification and professional development hours • Fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Receptiveness to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes
