📋 Description

• Deliver specific elementary course content in an online environment • Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Personalize learning for all students and differentiate instruction based on mastery level • Augment course content using approved asynchronous and synchronous tools under principal and coach guidance • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Work closely with students and parents/learning coaches to advance learning toward established goals • Travel occasionally for school functions, including state testing, and as otherwise required

🎯 Requirements

• State Department of Education Elementary School Teaching Certification required • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction • Availability for instructional hours between 9–5 EST (or 8–4) • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data and use it for instructional decisions • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to modern technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Must reside in the 50 states or Washington, D.C. • Ability to travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school
