📋 Description

• Deliver specific elementary school course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and parents/learning coaches • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school functions • Collaborate with teachers and use student data to guide instructional decisions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Appropriate state Department of Education Elementary School Teaching Certification • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during the workday • Experience working with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology • Experience teaching in an online or brick-and-mortar environment • Experience with online learning platforms • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Ability to collaborate with other teachers • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
