📋 Description

• Direct and coordinate educational, administrative, and counseling activities for high school students • Ensure educational programs conform to state and local school board standards • Research and implement non-K12 curriculum resources that meet state standards as needed • Articulate the school’s mission and vision and support stakeholder cooperation • Use communication technologies to support a predominantly virtual/remote work environment • Ensure compliance with laws regarding special education and categorical programs • Interface with students, families, local Municipal Court systems, and local districts regarding attendance and engagement compliance • Develop and oversee implementation of the Student Achievement Improvement Plan • Supervise and evaluate teaching staff • Manage teacher performance and provide training for professional development • Manage Master and Lead Teachers and programs • Confer with teachers, students, and parents concerning educational and behavioral problems • Coordinate with teachers and K12 Enrollment regarding expulsions and withdrawals • Supervise 15–30 FTE regular employees and/or contractors • Interview, hire, train, assign, direct, and evaluate employees; address complaints and resolve problems

🎯 Requirements

• Texas Principal certification • Texas residency requirement • Previous supervisory experience • Master’s degree • Five (5) years of educational experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio • Web proficiency • Ability to travel 10% of the time for meetings and professional development • Ability to clear required background check
