📋 Description

• Promote student success through a comprehensive school counseling program • Help students plan postsecondary education, military, employment, academic, social-emotional, and career pathways • Meet quarterly with caseload students to review graduation plans and postsecondary options • Deliver classroom instruction based on student success standards • Review transcripts and academic documentation • Collaborate with teaching staff on four-year graduation plans and audit student schedules • Assist with course placement, Advanced Placement recommendations, and enrichment pathways • Analyze student data and develop data-driven intervention action plans • Provide short-term counseling and referrals for long-term support • Support teachers, staff, parents, standardized testing, parent education, and staff development • Advocate for students at IEP and other student-focused meetings • Focus students and families on goal setting and college and career readiness

🎯 Requirements

• Oklahoma School Counselor Certification required • School Counselor endorsement required • Must reside in Oklahoma; candidates in Texas within 50 miles of the Oklahoma border may be considered • Bachelor's degree • Three years of experience in counseling and/or advisement • School Counselor License • Ability to clear required background check • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based search engines, and database systems • Flexible schedule and ability to travel as needed • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during the workday • Master's degree in school counseling • Experience with distance learning • Advanced coursework in counseling and administration • Experience as a teacher • Experience in a customer service environment • Experience with local, state, and federal laws and mandated reporting • Experience in a charter school environment preferred • Experience with state career planning systems, Pathfinder, or other career planning platforms/tools
