📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process and focusing on students’ individual needs • Monitor student progress through K12’s learning management system • Work actively with students and parents to advance learning and develop and monitor plans for post-secondary success using online tools such as Career Builder and Career Cruising • Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Personalize learning for all students and maintain high expectations • Differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using prescribed synchronous and asynchronous tools under guidance from the principal and coach • Maintain the grade book, ensure academic integrity, make placement and promotion decisions, and alert administrators to student performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families and communicate with students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Apply State, National, and Industry Specific learning standards • Develop instructional tools and strategies to supplement and enhance the curriculum • Collaborate with the school and national professional learning community • Administer and proctor certification assessments where applicable • Serve as an Advisor for a Career & Technical Student Organization • Support the CTE Program Coordinator/school/program in creating business and industry partnerships for work-based learning experiences • Support a project-based learning model • Travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school

🎯 Requirements

• Appropriate and current Arkansas Department of Education High School Computer Science Teaching Licensure • Must reside in Arkansas • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data and use it to drive instructional decisions • Receptive to receiving coaching regularly with administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Experience working with the proposed age group • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology • Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or brick-and-mortar environment • Experience with online learning platforms
