📋 Description

• Deliver specific high school mathematics course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside in Michigan • Michigan Teaching Certification required • High School Math endorsement required • Bachelor’s degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday, typically 9–5 or 8–4 • Experience working with the proposed age group desired • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology desired • Experience teaching online/virtual and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment desired • Experience with online learning platforms desired • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data desired • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint desired • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
