📋 Description

• Deliver rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for high school students • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools under principal and coach guidance • Maintain the grade book and student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to performance or progress concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish positive rapport with families and communicate with students and parents/learning coaches in a timely manner • Support parents/learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Monitor student progress through Stride K12's learning management system • Travel approximately once per month and/or 20% of the time for professional development, student testing, and school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Appropriate state Department of Education High School (9-12) Math Teaching Certification required • If certification is from another state, proof of South Carolina license application within 7 days of start date and an approved South Carolina teaching license within 90 days of start date • South Carolina residency preferred; candidates residing in North Carolina and Georgia may be considered • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday, typically 9-5 or 8-4 • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs and curriculum • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
